I earned a Biologist degree at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, and obtained a master's degree in Biological Sciences at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá Colombia. I have experience in neurobiology and in the management of animal models such as C.elegans, Zebrafish and currently Drosophila melanogaster. My main research interests are focused on understanding the development and evolution of the nervous system in different phylum and how these approaches contribute to the formulation of strategies for give solution to some neurodegenerative diseases.
